J-1 Visa Information
The "J-1" visa is for educational and cultural exchange programs designated by the Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs. The "J" exchange visitor program is designed to allow international participants to pursue training in their area of study or occupation in order to improve their knowledge of American management techniques, methodologies, expertise and culture. Training Program Who Is Eligible for the Training Program? Applicants who: o Are at least 18 years of age, o Have excellent writing and verbal English skills, o Have a training or degree in hospitality or related fields, and o Have at least 1 years experience in hospitality or related fields * If you have previously participated in the J-1 Training Program you must spend at least 2 consecutive years outside the US to eligible to re-apply. Applicants who: o Are at least 18 years of age, o Have excellent writing and verbal English skills, and o Are currently enrolled in a Hotel, Restaurant, or Hospitality Management related program. MS2K Career Management offers three J-1 programs: the Training Program, the Internship Program, and the Work & Travel Program.
The Training Program is designed for students who graduated or on the verge of graduating and are looking to work in the US Hotel and Hospitality industry. These programs allow international students to come to the US and work up to 12 months. Candidates will need a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, or Hospitality Management in order to apply for this program. They must also have at least one year experience within the hospitality industry.

Internship Program
The Internship Program is designed for students who are still enrolled in school and are looking for 12 months internship opportunities within the US Hotel and Hospitality field.
Work & Travel Program
The Work & Travel program is opened to students from around the world desiring to work in seasonal line positions in the US hotel and hospitality industry. This program allows students who are still in school to come to work for a period of 3 or 4 months. Students participating in Work & Travel Program are giving an additional month to travel if they wish to discover other States, Cities, or areas in the United States.
